If There’s No Ramp (CC), We All Fall Down!

July 2, 2011 Comments Off on If There’s No Ramp (CC), We All Fall Down!

CCAC announces a new ingredient for our mission = campaign to encourage all online broadcasting (video, news, radio, you name it) to SAY in their first line (title) if captioning (subtitles) are included or not.

If cc is there, great. The ramp for inclusion has been respected. If cc is not mentioned, no ramp, and we all fall down (e.g. you exclude millions). Hope we don’t have to remind you a thousand times….

Similarly, if you announce any conference or convention, any public event, be sure to say if captioning or CART is to be included (always, or by request). Say it clearly, so we can find it on your website or flyer. If not, you fall down – you do not understand the vitality of an inclusive and accessible society.

SAY CAPTIONS ARE INCLUDED – SAY IT UNIVERSALLY!
