Thanks to Nari, her company and her new website for this info today, of interest, we hope to all governments. See this website and the text below also.

Why is this important? Because the government there, as in the UK we believe, and also in several northern European countries, supports communication AT WORK, not only while seeking work. Big difference. What USA states do this? Is there any federal mandate for this? Please comment with information.

Communication access via realtime captioning is vital for millions, for up to 1 out of 10 or more people in every country. Work keeps us healthy. Workplace access is inclusion, and if this were expanded, there’s be no limits on what people can give back – what folks who require real time text can contribute to any work situation, for the good of all there, clients included.

Workplace Funding

Under the Australian Government’s JobAccess Employment Assistance Fund (EAF), employers may be entitled to up to $6,000 of realtime captioning services per employee requiring the service.   The Captioning Studio is an approved government service provider.

You can find out more information about the EAF at http://www.jobaccess.gov.au
